Terms of Service
Last updated: 3 June 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a contract between you and Nicolette Jooste, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as "GoodTalk" ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the GoodTalk web application (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
GoodTalk is a digital, AI-assisted tool that helps users prepare feedback conversations. It is delivered entirely online as software-as-a-service. There is no physical product and nothing is shipped.
2. Eligibility and account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create a paid account.
- You must provide accurate information and keep your login credentials confidential.
- You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.
- Submit content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, or infringes anyone's rights.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, probe or interfere with the Service.
- Use the Service to build a competing product, or to train other AI models.
- Resell, redistribute or share access to your account.
4. AI-generated content
GoodTalk's responses are generated by AI models and are provided for general guidance only. They are not legal, HR, medical or professional advice. Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete or unsuitable for your specific situation — you are responsible for reviewing and deciding how to use them. You must not rely on GoodTalk for any decision that requires qualified professional input.
You retain ownership of the prompts you submit. Subject to applicable law and your rights, you may use the AI outputs you receive for your own personal or internal professional purposes.
5. Tokens, plans and payments
- New accounts receive 10 free tokens. Guests can ask up to 3 questions before signing up.
- Each question consumes 1 token.
- The Starter Pack is a one-off purchase that adds 50 tokens, which do not expire while your account is active.
- The Monthly Plan is a recurring subscription that adds 200 tokens on each billing cycle and renews automatically until cancelled.
- Our order process and payments are conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com Market Ltd. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer-payment service inquiries and handles returns. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.
- Prices are shown inclusive of applicable VAT where required.
6. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel a subscription at any time via the customer portal provided by Paddle — access will continue until the end of your paid period. Refund eligibility and how to request a refund are described in our Refund Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design and brand, is owned by Nicolette Jooste. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service for your own personal or internal business use, in accordance with these Terms.
8. Service availability
We work hard to keep the Service running but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. The Service is provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties.
9. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim arising from or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or loss of goodwill.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, fail to pay, or where we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Service at any time and may delete your account from your account settings.
11. Changes to the Service or these Terms
We may update the Service or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice before they take effect.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, except that consumers may have the right to bring proceedings in the courts of their place of residence.
